Pre season training is taking place at the Knebworth recreation ground every Tuesday evening. Currently training is starting at 7pm and Phil Wells is in charge of the sessions which have so far been very good if lacking a few of the squad!
Ronald is making notes for the new season so come along to these excellent sessions, get fit and impress the manager to book your place in the starting line-up for the first game of the season. As you know certain players always get selected but there are still places up for grabs!
Go safely now, enjoy the summer and remember if worried there is always help available at www.40over40.com. It's never too late to get in shape.
John
Welcome to the festive ramblings of faraway Sir Ronald and his knobs Dancer Dave, Dasher Darren and Prancer Al. Do take the time to browse around and participate in the blog. Older, slower and fatter than ever, that's the festive knobs!
Faraway Sir Ronald
It's been on and off for years but finally the time has come for Sir Ronald to be put out to pasture in Pembrokeshire and become Faraway Sir Ronald. Plenty of gardening to be done and the drink is already a distant memory. The KNOBS, who are they?

An excellent training session - well done Phil. I particularly enjoyed the head tennis. A bit one sided though; if i remember correctly we won all three games by 15 clear points.
Clearly you don't remember very well althzeimer boy!
Good session though better than mindless 5 a side in a shitty gym.
dickbrains
Hola, my beutifuls peoples. I wills be at the trainings as soon as i get my bottoms away from the beach bars and pretty girls. Oooh Baby baby ims havings a great time here drinkings and smokings i should makes the teams quite easy´s no??
Wonder who that daft nowt was?
drinking and smoking in some foreign swine flueless environment.
First team selection based on those who turn up at Phil's sessions and 5 a sides in gym.
We know who you are'nt.
Poor turn out last night for training that Phil makes some effort with.
Only Steve Bull (natch) and Phil and Ian who doesn't play!
Howay lads what are you all doing every Tuesday that's better than a locally provided fitness session.
I was injured but showed my ugly mug.
Hope a few more attend next Tuesday!
Getting some of the Knobs involved in 5 a side on Saturday with Knebworth teams would be good for a giggle says one Daniel Looney (he should talk). Pity there was not more notice or we might have got a 5 to make them eat their words!
Pa Griff must be Chris.
I might need a couple of players next Saturday (1st August) for a friendly in St Albans - anyone interested ?
Cheers,
Stuart

I saw a fearsome sight this morning- Gavin contorted and seething eating up the dirt round Old Knebworth. I felt insignificant and a tad lazy as I drove past.
Running is okay, it's kicking the ball I'm concerned about!
Oh...you'll be delighted to hear that there was a punch-up at the Station on Saturday night. 3 police cars in attendance. Forget The Fox, that's where the action is!
5th August - 'KNOW IT ALLS' - BBC2 at 6.30pm. Watch and be impressed. Maybe.
Well done to the knowitall in red. I only caught 5 minutes of your fame but i will see you in the next round.
WBA 1 Newcastle 1.
Relegation might just be avoided by the boys in yellow.
Fuck TV fame! get yourself to training on a Tuesday Gavin...
That goes for all the old gits too, season starts in two weeks you know?
Tuesday 7pm The Knobs need you!
Imagine supporting a team that gets beat 7-1 at home in front of 25,000+ fans!
Couldn't happen.
HA HA!!
Best friends competition.
Who isyour friend in Knobs?
For example Steve Bull and Alistair or Steve Bull and Mark or even Steve Bull and a football. Let us know.
They reckon Mike Lisle and Trev are a bit friendly. And does Ron favour John?
I think Mark is very fond of a bit of tree hugging.
John Boyle and Bll&Ben
You stayed up late to write on the blog. Was Bill showing you his little weeeeeed!!
It's the last training session on Tuesday before the season gets under way so i hope you'll all be there!
Bully is always there and I know he will not let us down.
Where was Bully? I missed another TV appearance to turn up to the last training session before the season starts! It's all about commitment to the cause.
He's one of the armchair brigade. Makes out he's a true fan, but can't be bothered to go across the border. Typical Arsenal fan!
Its a shame you cant turn up for the game this weekend? oh I forgot you only play in league games?
First game and I was so close to calling it off due to lack of interest, commitment call it what you like. Anyway Vintage Dundee in time honoured tradition have called off the game on the 30 th (so that's a cricket day- fuck off you not wanted Bill knows who the stalwarts are) so next game is sept 6 home to Garston who will be bringing a very srtong team.
Toodle pip
Manager on the wane.
having re read shite above there is a game home to Walkern this Sunday which I have managed only due to Steve's help, Next week no game following week the 6th home to Garston.
God bless!
OOOOhhhhh! Someones tired!!
