Faraway Sir Ronald

It's been on and off for years but finally the time has come for Sir Ronald to be put out to pasture in Pembrokeshire and become Faraway Sir Ronald. Plenty of gardening to be done and the drink is already a distant memory. The KNOBS, who are they?

Knobs 1 Blunham 6

They played together, we didn't/couldn't. They had three outstanding individuals who were much fitter. They had one bloke who could ping the ball about over distance with pace and accuracy, two of his goals were delicious strikes. We were strangers to each other- literally.
Pitch surface disgustingly grassy and bobbly but same for both sides.
New keeper sensible Dave at fault not at all.
Bully sliced in the opening goal...... for them.
We chopped and changed position all to no avail. Could things have been different? Probably not. Better player availability would help. But that is where we are at present.
Gavin scored with his head I think. Gave a glimmer of hope 3-1 but they shat on us.
Good pub turn out but no food, thank goodness.
Home v Walkern 13th, away v Welwyn 27th, home v Buntingf ord May 4th and home v MBDA May 14th, Wednesday.

What a shit report even worse than the performance on the pitch.

what was there to say?
we were as a collection of individuals trying to win a game over 80 minutes..... poor. Only possibly in it when the ever trying Gavin got us somehow to 3-1.
If those individuals hurt and think they can come back and do better , ...great! I always took that view until recently at some tender age I realised that I really could not contribute anymore.
Anyway if they cannot do better or are not willing to put in the graft to do better, then follow me. No point moaning, just jack or accept the fact that every week turning out will more likely as not be just a turning out for the beautiful game and usually being beaten.
That is great in itself for some of us, just being part of the football scene.
Love you all however shite a player you are.

If Joel had scored when it was 3-1, it may have been game on but they went up the other end and made it 4. No blaming Joel but there are certain moments. Gavin one-on-one should have scored but that was a bit later. They played really well. I was impressed. And they were quite nice, which is a rare thing to say about the Blunham team.

If half the effort put in moaning about each other was put in to playing as a team you might have a chance of a point. Where has all this moaning come from ?

it could have been so different if there had been a south easterly breeze
